Protein Supplements

September 2016

My main fitness goal is to build lean muscle whilst losing as much body fat as a can. A lot of this can be done from the foods you eat and the training methods you use. However you will always need that extra push with supplements. You might of never used supplements before but here I will talk you through the ones I consume and the reasons behind it.

Firstly less talk about Protein Powder. A lot of people instantly think Protein Powder builds big, bulky muscle, when really everyone should be taking Protein Powder within there diet if your not getting enough through the foods you eat. Protein powder is usually taken directly after workout as liquid protein is quickly digested into your system rather than whole foods like chicken and fish. This easy to digest Protein helps your muscles to recover and repair after your workout.

Your diet should contain high amounts of protein as protein as well as repair muscle, it also helps to burn fat well. Protein powder can also be used as a snack if your on the go. Its also great to bake with and use in your smoothies.

I personally use Impact Whey Protein from MyProtein.com, this is an excellent choice of protein for all types of athletes and recreational gym users to support a variety of training goals. The high protein intake will contribute to the growth and maintenance of lean muscle mass. This protein shake is also available in over 40 delicious flavours including Cookies & Cream, Rhubarb & Custard, Summer Fruits and a variety of natural flavours my personal preference is Vanilla.

Impact Whey Protein is ideal for anyone looking to increase daily protein intake. It is recommended to consume either before or after a training session or at any time throughout the day to increase protein intake.

Impact Whey protein is fast absorbing and therefore ideal to be consumed post workout. It can be consumed with water or milk as a delicious protein shake, or combined in your favourite smoothie or greek yoghurt.
